My name is Ngan (non). I am an inaugural member of Florida International University’s PA Program.
Prior to starting my PA adventures, I received my master’s in public health with a concentration in infection control. During this time I worked at the county health department as an epidemiologist, tracking down outbreaks.
The coolest thing that I’ll ever get to say is that I got to work on the tail end of the 2015 Ebola outbreak and learning about Zika before Zika was even a thing.
After ten long years of non-stop schooling, I am officially living my dream as an otolaryngology (ENT) physician assistant.
After being awarded the Director’s Leadership Award and recognized as an FIU Worlds Ahead Graduate, I aspire to inspire the next generation of health professionals to get involved and make a difference in their community!
This blog is a way for me to share all things related to the PA profession, public health, awkward stories about me growing up with a tough (but loving and supporting) Asian mother, and of course, my new journey as a PA-C!
