Just when I thought my days of blogging are over (remember the good ol’ days of Live Journal?), I was totally wrong…
During my trip to Vietnam, I was inspired to share my experiences as a first-generation Vietnamese American. I also wanted to shed light on health barriers that I’ve experienced during my time working in public health in hopes of educating the next generation of providers.
Who am I? My name is Ngan (non). I am a recent Florida International University PA grad. Prior to starting my PA adventures, I received my master’s in public health and worked at the health department as an epidemiologist (disease investigator). I currently work as an otolaryngologist (ENT) physician assistant.
After sharing my journey as a PA student on Instagram, it was suggested that I start a blog. I realized IG did not give me the space I wanted to convey my messages, so here we are.
This blog is a way for me to share all things related to the PA profession, public health, awkward stories about me growing up with a tough (but loving and supporting) Asian mother, and of course, my new journey as a PA-C!
I hope you will join me as I challenge the next generation of healthcare providers to become leaders and advocates in their communities.
